NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2005--Coach, Inc. (NYSE: COH), a leading marketer of modern classic American accessories, today announced the appointment of Janet A. Carr to Senior Vice President, of Consumer Insights and Strategic Planning, effective immediately.
Ms. Carr joins Coach from Gap Inc., where she held the position of Vice President, Consumer Insights and Strategic Planning for Gap International. At Gap, Ms. Carr was responsible for focusing on business performance and consumer needs and identifying practical strategies to drive financial results for Asia, Europe and strategic alliances across all three Gap brands. Prior to this role, she was Vice President, Strategy and Business Development of Banana Republic.

Before joining Gap Inc., Ms. Carr was the Vice President, Corporate Pricing at Safeway. She joined Safeway from Booz-Allen Hamilton, where she was a Principal in the Consumer Products and Retail Group. She has a BA in Zoology and an MA in Biology from San Jose State University and a MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Business of Cornell University.
